there is a school in the colony. the classroom can hold about 20 children, then not much space is left. Few light comes in, yet kids' energy makes this space bright and precious.

500 rupees = 10USD is what 1 child needs to go to a pablic grade school for a whole year including school uniform. cheap? not for them.

スラムにあるこの小さな「学校」では、補修や学校に行かれない子供の為の授業がボランティアの先生によって行われている。光の殆ど入らない唯一の教室は、子供たちのエネルギーが太陽にも勝る光になる。
500ルピー、約1000円で子ども一人が1年間小学校に通う事が出来るが、1000円はここでは安くはない。
ベルギーやオーストラリア、日本からの寄付で学校に通える子供たちがいるが、行かれない子供たちも多い。
